Professor Bao elected to the National Academy of Engineering

Prof. Bao Zhenan

Professor Bao was one of the 80 new members elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering. The honor is "among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer." Prof. Bao was chosen because of her contributions to "engineering research, practice, or education, including, where appropriate, significant contributions to the engineering literature" and to "the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of engineering, or developing/implementing innovative approaches to engineering education." The National Academy of Engineering is composed of 2,275 U.S. and 232 international members
