Dr. Madison Mooney receives Governor General Gold Medal for her Ph.D. work
The Gold Medal is the most prestigious award that graduate students in Canadian schools can receive.
Dr. Madison Mooney will be awarded the prestigious Governor General's Gold Medal at the University of Windsor Fall convocation ceremony on October 16th, 2025. The Governor General's Academic Medals recognize top-achieving students across Canada at various stages of their education, with the gold medal given at the graduate level. Madison shares the award with one graduate student, also from the University of Windsor. This award recognizes Madison's exceptional achievements in carbohydrate-based semiconducting polymers which balance sustainability and device performance. You can read more about the award here.
